T.D. Jakes Foundation Provides Scholarships for NRWC Employer Engagement Specialist Certification

The T.D. Jakes Foundation has generously provided funding for scholarships for the upcoming NRWC Employer Engagement Specialist Certification.

Here’s everything you need to know:

• Certification: The NRWC self-paced online program is designed to equip reentry workforce professionals with the skills and tools to effectively find, engage, and retain fair chance employers. Learn more here.

• Amount: The scholarships are applied as credit to cover your certification registration fee.*

• Eligibility: Scholarship applications are open to NRWC members and non-members of any organization except those individuals who are employees of, or have a professional affiliation with, the T.D. Jakes Foundation. Please note that only one (1) recipient is allowed from an organization.

• Selection Process: Recipients will be selected randomly from all entries received by the deadline.

• Deadline: Entries must be submitted via electronic form by Friday, September 18, 5:00 pm Pacific Time.

• How to Enter: The scholarship entry form can be found here. Please enter only once; duplicate entries will be disqualified. If you have issues accessing the form, please contact Michelle Mellon, michelle@thenrwc.org

• Notification: Finalists will be notified on Monday, September 21 and will have 48 hours to confirm participation. In the event a finalist is not confirmed within that window, another name will be selected until we have all 10 scholarship recipients confirmed.

• How to Apply Scholarship Funds if Chosen: Confirmed scholarship recipients will be contacted with all information necessary to enroll for certification and claim their scholarship. We encourage scholarship recipients to take the certification early; however, immediate enrollment is not required.

*Note that scholarship funds apply for certification registration fee and not ancillary costs like equipment, Internet access, etc.
